Company Description

Tipper Truck 10 m3

Our customer had a fleet of 25 ton tipper truck trucks that were constantly exposed to harsh conditions. The tipper trucks were primarily used to carry loads of salt from one point to another. As a result, the trucks were frequently subjected to impact, abrasion, and corrosion, which led to the metalwork being covered in rust and corrosion. The average capacity of a standard tipper truck can range from 10 – 15 tons of material, but some types can haul as high as 35 – 40 tons.

As previously discussed, articulated dump trucks perform better than tippers on loose aggregates because they generally have a larger surface area on their tyres, and their tyres are extremely heavy duty. So if you’re in an off-road environment where the ground is loose or wet, your first choice should be an articulated dump truck. These are usually widely available from Australian wet and dry hire plant suppliers. If you’re working on very loose ground, that is wet or not well compacted, then you might need to consider a Moroka truck or tracked dump truck over and above an articulated dump truck. These dump trucks have smaller pay loads, but are propelled by tracks which means they can cart loads over soft or unstable ground and go places tippers and articulated dump trucks can’t go. If you’ve ever seen a large truck with a tilting bed working on a construction site, it’s most likely a tipper truck.

These are the giant tipper dump trucks in the family and are mainly used at mining sites or massive construction projects. They can haul up to 400 tons of loose material on a single trip and perform under the most challenging climate and conditions. Semi-Trailer end tippers can haul a much higher material load and withstand more challenging conditions than standard tipper trucks. It’s not a truck by itself but a trailer with a hydraulic dump body that needs to be attached to a prime over for transportation.

In the case of road-registered trucks, 20 tonnes is the maximum for a single truck tipper, such as a lorry and dog, in terms of payload capacity. You can get more capacity from a tipper by choosing a tandem tipper or truckr configuration. You’ll find these big boys more commonly in mines and quarries, where their payload capacity can stretch to 380 tonnes. Believe it or not, that’s not the heaviest payload capacity a dump truck can carry. Find out which machine is striking gold in the world’s 5 largest mining tipper trucks. Tipper trucks, also known as dump trucks, are indispensable in the construction, mining, and transportation sectors.

No matter how harsh or rugged the conditions are, Mahindra’s new BLAZO X m-DURA range of tippers are designed to brave them all. The larger body capacity of Mahindra’s Tipper allows you to load more and save more on fuel. A semi end dump is a tractor-trailer combination wherein the trailer itself contains the hydraulic hoist. In the US a typical semi end dump has a 3-axle tractor pulling a 2-axle trailer with dual tires, in the EU trailers often have 3 axles and single tires. Suitable for use in severe conditions, tippers offer 4×2, 6×2, 8×2, 6×4 and 8×4 configurations with up to 28 m3 rigid tipping bodies and uplift solution capacity up to 50 m3. Easy maneuvers with alternative wheelbases range from 3600 to 5100 mm options.

It weighs approximately 2850 kg for the body, sub-frame & hydraulics. Bumper Pull personal and commercial Dump Trailers come in a variety of sizes from smaller 6×10 7,000 GVWR models to larger 7×16 High Side 14,000[20] GVWR models. Another configuration is called a triple transfer train, consisting of a “B” and “C” box. These are common on Nevada and Utah Highways, but not in California. Depending on the axle arrangement, a triple transfer can haul up to 129,000 kilograms (284,000 pounds) with a special permit in certain American states. As of 2007[update], a triple transfer costs a contractor about $105 an hour, while a A/B configuration costs about $85 per hour.

As a result, dump trucks require specialised tractors, and only pickup trucks can’t pull dump trucks. Some dump trucks used for mining can even have a capacity of 250 tonnes. IVS Medium duty flatbed and 30 ton tipper truck trucks provide the versatility required to accommodate a variety of load sizes and shapes, including bricks, stone, debris, dirt, pipe, lumber, logs, industrial tools and heavy equipment. They can carry a maximum capacity of around 44 tonnes, but many models are designed for lighter work with a gross vehicle weight of 7.5 tonnes. There are smaller trucks with fourteen or sixteen-tonne capacities as well.

The key advantage of a semi bottom dump is its ability to lay material in a windrow, a linear heap. In addition, a semi bottom dump is maneuverable in reverse, unlike the double and triple trailer configurations described below. These trailers may be found either of the windrow type shown in the photo or may be of the cross spread type, with the gate opening front to rear instead of left and right. The cross spread type gate will actually spread the cereal grains fairly and evenly from the width of the trailer. The cross spread type gate, on the other hand, tends to jam and may not work very well with coarse materials. The pup trailer, unlike the transfer, has its own hydraulic ram and is capable of self-unloading.
